People often say – Sarah. holy crap. that’s a lot of cookies. How (and/or why) did you do all this? I bet that took forever and really made Cat frustrated. To which I say – yes and yes! But she’s only mad until she eats cookies, which are ample, so it doesn’t make too big of a problem. 🙂
Also, yes, it involves a spreadsheet. Several, actually, with formulas.

New to the box this year, Lavender Sugar Cookies. I made a pie with lavender a while ago and really liked the delicate flavor. The tea glaze adds a bit of complexity, and takes it up a notch. It looks like pepper, but it’s not. it’s tea and it’s nice.

I still might make these – they are gluten free and good, but super finicky to make and not burn. very very easy to burn. like mostly they are burned. so you have to make 5x as many because most batches burn.

Complete operator error on these. Tried 3 different batches and never got anythign that looked like the picture above. Just hard burny caramel bark with almonds. The kitchen smelled amazing though. i should make this as a candle or something.

These were a total bust – boiled them for 2 hours, baked them for 2 hours, ended up with a sticky mess and managed to spill like a gallon of orange flavored simple syrup all over the kitchen. so… that’s why we will have ants this spring.
